August 2007 -- ViaMichelin.com, the internationally known travel resource, has
listed the Hotel Providence with four stars—the only listed property in the state with such a high rating. According to Michelin’s website, “Hotel Providence puts all the excitement of the city within short walking distances. January 2007 -- The luxury boutique Hotel Providence has been recognized as the top rated hotel in the Rhode Island category for rooms and service in Zagat’s 2007 Guide for Top U.S Hotels, Resorts and Spas. Located in the center of the Downcity Arts and Entertainment District, the 80-room Small Luxury Hotel member opened in early 2005 and has since received several awards and recognitions including Four Diamonds by AAA, Best of New England by Yankee Magazine and New England Travel and Life, Best of the East by Meetings East magazine, as well as historic preservation awards.

July 2006 -- Boston Magazine's New England Travel announced their 2006 winners, and selected the Four Diamond boutique Hotel Providence for Best Hotel, City other than Boston.
